United Nations to apply "responsibility to protect" doctrine to force international aid into Myanmar Petition

As you're certianly aware, there was a vicious and devastating cyclone in Burma last week.

Burma is 'ruled' by a psychopathic dictatorship - the extent of that psychopathology is evident in that the regime decided that while 100,000 of the country's population is either dead or missing, there should be held a referendum on keeping said regime in power.... good timing... not.

The Unitied Nations has a commitment to helping countries in crisis when those countries' administrations cannot or will not. Burma is a case of will not, as the administration will not provide Visas for aid workers and has limited aid to the country to very few drops of aid. Up until 5 days after the cyclone, only ONE transport of aid had been allowed into the country. One.

I have attached a petition directed to the United Nations. This petition directs the UN to act on its own resolutions and override the current whims of the Burmese government to allow aid and aid workers to enter the country.

Please sign this petition. The UN must know that the international community does not support genocide by starvation and disease.

Man Caves!

My partner/spouse/boyfriend/AIP and I have been together for about 11 and a half years. He lives in a condo and I in a house; we're three blocks from each other. He sleeps here most nights but a couple times a week, he stays at the condo.

Why? Because we both know a man needs a cave.

We often tour open houses and I am regularly amazed at the homes some men must live in. It isn't the house so much, but the 'decorating' of said home, which in many cases unquestionably showcases who is the boss via endless pink paint and cabage-rose counterpanes and valences (which are gross dustcatchers anyway).


What man can retain his masculinity living in that kind of environment? It's no wonder there is almost always a dank, dusty, overflowing garage attached to such homes - the de facto cave.


As I'm a big ol' curmudgeon, I think that when a woman eradicates absolutely everything manly in the home she shares with her male partner/spouse, she is stating, without speaking, that she really would prefer her man not be in the home at all, but that's me and my weird perspective.


But seriously, no man - not even the gayest of the gay - thinks cabage roses are nice on anything. If a house looks like that it's because, when he's asked to comment on the decorating and paint choices, the guy hauls out the "yes dear," code for "Whatever, I'm totally not listening or interested. Where are the garage keys."


I laughed out loud at this article because it is true, true, true. A man needs a cave. Aparently the 'cave' in this story - a nasty, musty, bug and varmit-infested place on a swampy river is a very popular hangout for local men and a source of consternation for their wives/girlfriends, who don't get the 'cave' concept.


My man and I have the perfect relationship; he as a cave (which is not musty or smelly but sure is full of computer games...) and we have a house that is ours but has some man space inside and out, in the form of a crooked one-car garage.


Ask around girls: ask your guy friends, or your spouse if you dare, about the cave.

A Country of Stupid People, By Design?

One way to keep your population under control is to keep them uneducated, stupid and simply not able to ask questions.

That process is also a great way to make sure you always have enough drones for your army... being stupid does not lead to great jobs. The army, however, will look after you, your wife/husband and your kids, even when you're killed in some illegal war.

Keeping people stupid also limits how much they understand of what they hear on the news and also limits how much the really know about anything outside their own neighbourhood, which is to say world affairs are way, way, way above their comprehension.

Yes, I'm talking about the USA in case there's any question.

Your Client List Could Kill You... if you're A DC Madam

One of the risks of working in Washington, especially if you're female, or a male who sleeps with other males, is getting an ear full of state secrets from lovers who's lips are loose when they're relaxed.

For years, Deborah Jeane Palfrey had been operating large, successful 'escort' agency with a client list that read like - no probably was - the roll call of the entire US congress, senate and yes, white house; Mr. Cheney for one....

Suffice to say, Ms. Palfrey and her staff were the keepers of many, many secrets.

All's well until a person goes public and threatens to expose those secrets, which Ms. Palfrey was set to do, except that she was murdered a week before she was set to testify.

The lovely and always complicit US news media - and the Canadian and British media too - all reported Ms. Palfrey's death was a suicide, but that is a lie.

See, another cohort of Palfrey's had also been murdered not many months prior - her death also made to look like a suicide. She knew something similar was in store for herself.

Ms. Palfrey had recently been interviewed on her upcoming trial and she made it very clear to all those who interviewed her that she had absolutely no reason for suicide - see, a few non-mainstream journalists were making sure Palfrey had the opportunity to state she knew her colleague's death had been set up as a suicide. She also said if she turned up dead herself, that the death should be investigated.

Well, lately, Ms. Palfrey was found hanging by her neck in a shed on her mother's property.

Two seconds of investigation lead certainly to the impossibility of her death being a suicide: one, she would have had to climb onto the roof of said shed in order to rig up the hanging apparatus and two, the shed was on her mother's property, not far from her mother's house. Palfrey no longer lived at home, so choosing such a location is bizarre at best. Lastly, women rarely - very rarely - ever hang themselves.

So why was Ms. Palfrey "removed?" She was about to expose the planning and forethought that went into the destruction of the world trade centres and she was about to name names.

9/11 Conspiracy Connection To DC Madam Murder

Former NSA analyst and Navy intelligence officer Wayne Madsen tells the The Alex Jones Show that one of the key motives behind the DC Madam's murder may have been the information her call girls picked up from Washington's top brass concerning foreknowledge and government complicity in the 9/11 attacks.

Madsen also connected another suspicious death - that of former CIA agent Roland Carnaby who was gunned down by Houston police last week - to another individual who was involved in both the 9/11 cover-up and the D.C. Madam scandal, disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Noting that Palfrey and her defense team had tried to invoke the Classified Information Procedures Act in the U.S. District Court in Washington, which is only used when classified information or the names of people who are intelligence officers needs to be discussed, Madsen said Palfrey, "Had information which could have a bearing on the 9/11 attacks that some of her employees may have picked up information beforehand that would have been very useful to the 9/11 investigation."

Madsen added that most of Palfrey's call girls had been active around the area of McLean Virginia, which is where the CIA and other intelligence agencies are based and where Dick Cheney lived at the time.

Host Alex Jones recalled that during interviews Palfrey had told him that her escort service was in fact being used as an intelligence operation to gather intelligence on individuals who used the service, particularly those connected to the military.

Madsen, who spoke personally to Palfrey on numerous occasions, recalls one conversation at dinner about a month a go with Palfrey and her asset forfeiture lawyer where Palfrey told him, 'I have information that would have been of great interest to the 9/11 Commission - there's information that they have (her call girls) that would have been very important for the 9/11 Commission to know having to do with intelligence they picked up about 9/11 before it happened'.

The former NSA official noted that some of Palfrey's call girls were being chauffeured by Sherlington Limousines to poker parties attended by former CIA director and co-chair of the Joint 9/11 Intelligence Inquiry Porter Goss. One of the reasons cited for Goss' abrupt resignation in May 2006 was his alleged involvement in a prostitution scandal where lobbyists were holding parties for GOP lawmakers that featured hookers and gambling at the Watergate Hotel in D.C.

On the morning of 9/11, Goss was having breakfast with the head of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) General Mahmoud Ahmad, the man who ordered a wire transfer of $100,000 to alleged lead hijacker Mohammed Atta.

In addition, Madsen pointed out that Jack Abramoff, who was also connected to the DC Madam scandal, allowed at least two of the 9/11 hijackers to use one of his casino boats in the days before 9/11, and this is what Palfrey was probably referring to when she spoke about her call girls picking up information about 9/11 before it happened.

"There's the link, when you've got Abramoff and you had two of those hijackers on his casino boat a few days before 9/11 - I just wonder if that's what Jeane was talking about," said Madsen, "Because now I'm looking at this crazy incident in Houston with Roland Carnaby, a retired CIA guy who was still contracted to the CIA, being gunned down in broad daylight by the Houston police department - now I've been told by Agency sources in Houston that one of the people he was looking at was Abramhoff and the casino boats - so here you've got two people in the same week, looks like they were both assassinated in broad daylight," he concluded.

Many readers will recall that Newsweek reported that military brass in Washington received a warning the night before the 9/11 attacks which led to a September 11 flight being cancelled. "NEWSWEEK has learned that while U.S. intelligence received no specific warning, the state of alert had been high during the past two weeks, and a particularly urgent warning may have been received the night before the attacks, causing some top Pentagon brass to cancel a trip. Why that same information was not available to the 266 people who died aboard the four hijacked commercial aircraft may become a hot topic on the Hill," according to the September 13 2001 issue.

The connection to 9/11 is tantalizing and provides a key motive for why numerous power brokers would have wanted Palfrey to be shut up for good before she had the opportunity to release information in court that her call girls picked up about 9/11 pointing to foreknowledge and government complicity in the attacks.

Run your car on water.

This week, I happened across a link to a site where one can find directions on how to turn any gas powered car or truck into a water-run vehicle.

After a short but interesting debate on that site, one of the contributors posted this link
to a site that clearly explains the technology and outlines the 1998 murder of the inventor. Suffice to say, he did not bow to immense pressure from oil companies to discontinue his research and to destroy the technology.

Also on that site is a film called "Who Killed the Electric Car," which I have seen and which I highly recommend. That link is also live.

If any of us still really believe our governments and our corporations have any interest in anything other than war and profit, these two items should help us limit those beliefs.

Dick Cheney said, on camera two weeks ago, that the only reason the US is in the middle east is to protect the oil supply. That is the sum total of any truth that man has ever spoken.

Here's to the end of school supported credentialism

Anyone who knows me knows how little respect I hold for credentialism and for the belief that schooling equals anything really valuable out there in the real world.

I'm always astounded by those job postings that contain the phrase, "University Degree Required to apply," as that stipulation immediately eliminates the creative and probably most functional people from the running.

Add too the reality of cheating in Universities. MacLean's Magazine had it in their research that cheating runs to 80% of students! What that means is that of those who gain a bachelor's degree, 80% of them don't deserve it. Additionally, that degree is obtainable with a passing grade of 50%....

So what does that mean for an employer? Simply this: by limiting their search to only those who hold a bachelor's degree, they're not asking for or getting the cream of the crop by any means. They're getting drones who will commit to four years (or more) in a class and who are quite good at regurgitation. Neither zombieism or regurgitation are sought-after characteristics for employment.

I certainly believe there is every excuse for further education. Simply for access to new ideas, philosophies and means of thinking, higher education is critical. HOW we educate is at question here and what is considered correct and right and valuable in terms of learning and styles.

This speaker, Sir Ken Robinson, eloquently packages up all the stuff I feel about the current state of education. Please note his brief but pointed nod to "ADHD."

The Canadian Pot Law is no more

Calgary’s World Wide Marijuana March

On May 4^th, a well attended march for legalisation happened in Calgary. Considering there was a crowd about 500 strong, mostly stoned, there were hardly any disturbances.

There were three arrests for possession. Apparently the Calgary Police Service is unaware that the Canadian pot laws have fallen.

In July 2007 the Supreme Court struck down the laws pertaining to possession for personal use.

The dissolution of the archaic pot laws has been covered by numerous Canadian news outlets including an article by Brian Preston published February 27 2008 in The National Post.

The laws were previously challenged and struck down in 2003 and there is currently a class action suit underway to deal with people who were wrongfully charged with possession between the years 2001 and 2003.

The existing laws were challenged and again stricken from the books in July 2007. The Supreme Court ruled that because the law has not been rewritten to accommodate medical users, the prohibition on all use -- including recreational use -- collapses because the law is unconstitutional.

According to Peter Hogg, an expert in Canadian constitutional law, once the Supreme Court of Canada has held that a law is unconstitutional, there can be no doubt about the status of the law: it is invalid, and need not be obeyed.

Since July 2007, a growing number of people across Canada has been successful having charges of simple possession dropped. This is quite simply because the law no longer exists and therefore charges cannot legally be laid.

It seems either the police services nationally either do not know the possession laws are no longer valid or they choose to ignore that fact.

The reality is that Canadian courts and jails are crammed with people who pose absolutely no danger to anyone, including themselves but have been charged with simple possession.

The cost to Canadians of charging, processing, incarcerating and prosecuting these non-offenders is astronomical. As far back as 1996, the annual cost was over $400 Million and estimated to be more likely double that number, funds that should be put towards useful expenditures.

There is no question that for-profit grow operations should remain illegal – at least until there is appropriate legislation and management in place to regulate such businesses.

However, as it pertains to people possessing small quantities of marijuana for their own use, it is well past time Canadians got past their Reefer Madness silliness and our politicians stopped worrying about whether Canadian laws offend the architects of the failed US war on drugs.

Yeah, Bottled Water is a Great Idea.... not...

I just happened on this great article on Environmental Graffiti. The bottled water industry is one of the other reasons that gas is so darn expensive… FACTS:

• Bottled water production in the US consumes roughly 17 million barrels of oil every year, not including transportation.

• 17 million barrels of oil (equivalent to just under the GDP of the Cayman Islands at today’s prices) used in production, bottled water consumes gallons and gallons of water.
  

• Three gallons of the wet stuff is required to produce one gallon of what you will happily pay a dollar for, largely because of the length and complexity of the various “purification” processes and the evaporation loss that takes place while the water is in the plant.
  

• One percent of the water on our planet is both accessible and potable.

• Besides the extravagant amount of oil used to make the bottles and large volumes of water used in the bottling process:

• Transport costs - by the time you transport every bottle by rail or truck and keep it cool, you may as well have filled it one-fourth of the way with oil.

• Operating costs of the factories themselves
  

• Profit the bottled water companies have to make for their shareholders.
  

• Environmental Impact of Production: Every ton of PET plastic for the bottles produces 3 tons of carbon–adding 2.5 Million tons of carbon dioxide emissions to the 17 million barrels of oil.

But Anyway, Global Warming is soooo Last Year! What about the Price of Rice and Wheat!??

This is an excerpt from an email I just got from my brilliant, well-read friend, Dr.H., who is waaaay smarter than I'll ever be and reads about a hundred books a week.

Last year, Dr. H sent me a great piece called Save the Planet, Drive an Edsel. This week, I sent him a little tidbit about last year's news, Global Warming, and he sent me back this delicious analysis.

"... At the end of the day the CO2 debate is pretty well over.... There was still a debate [back in 2006] but in 2007 the walls came crashing down on the CO2ers. Their champions like Gore and Suzuki headed for cover and have refused to talk to anyone since.

The globalists and the media still act as if the idea still has legs and the governments still throw a little money that way; but there are no CO2ers ready to come out and debate the real scientists and historians and Al Gore's electric bill is still higher than the national poverty line.


So, the crisis du jour this year seems to be rising food prices and people starving in Africa. There is probably some truth to this but I doubt that it has much to do with the price of wheat.


A bushel of wheat weighs 60 lbs so one bushel will make 60 loaves of bread. At $3.00 a bushel the wheat in a loaf of bread costs 5cents. If the cost of wheat doubles the cost of a loaf of bread goes up 5 cents. If the price quadruples; a loaf of bread goes up 15 cents. Big deal! However, the cost of shipping grain half way round the world is a different story.


Africa used to be self sufficient in food, so, what went wrong? It looks like the Globalists goofed again! The trouble is, when these elitist geniuses screw up; innocent people suffer and die.

It seems that since the cold war ended; the Globalist media always needs to have a "The sky is falling " type of crisis that the government can appear to be fixing.

But unlike Y2K, bird flu, and global warming; this problem probably could use some fixing.

There is actually a simple connection between the CO2 gang that conveniently disappeared about a year ago and the severe food shortages that we are seeing today. The food shortages are largely due to the use of a lot of corn and other grains for ethanol. This idea was concocted mainly to please the Global Warming lobby groups lead by Gore and Suzuki.

If either of these clowns can be cornered into a meaningful symposium with real scientists with the opposing point of view; then they will have two challenges.

• First they must prove that their theory has any merit at all; which it does not. This leads to the second problem which is :
• What are they going to do about the starving and dying people who are the innocent victims of their bad advice.

They have good reason to disappear. They are just getting in deeper and deeper. "
